Have
you enjoyed learning German at GCSE? Are you interested in learning
how to discuss, in German, the world we live in today? If you have answered
yes to these questions, then you will find German a useful and fascinating

of a healthy lifestyle. It is very different to GCSE German with more
scope for developing your opinions and ideas and a greater importance
placed on grammar.
For A2 you will look at environmental issues as well as social issues
such as poverty, Globalisation, immigration and racism. You will also
study two German films.
HOW
WILL I BE ASSESSED?
One oral and one written examination for both the AS and the A2 courses.
You will also be assessed by your teachers throughout the course so
we can see how you are progressing and provide support where needed.
WHAT
SKILLS AND SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS DO I NEED?
You should have at least a GCSE pass of grade C in both German and English
Language and a minimum average GCSE pass of C. You should have sat the
Higher Tier GCSE German examinations.
WHAT
CAN I DO NEXT?
