Dominic
Breslin
Dom came to Priestley from Birchwood High and went onto complete
A-Levels in Law, Sociology, Politics and English Literature. Impressively
he obtained straight A grades in all four subjects before then
moving onto study Politics to degree level at The University of
Warwick. |

Phil came to Priestley from Culcheth High and in his final
year of study completed the BTEC National Diploma in Public Services
where he went onto land a triple distinction. Phil regularly participated
in the study trips offered on his course including those to the
Royal Marines. At the end of his stay he opted to take a gap year
before contemplating applying for University. |

Adam came to Priestley from Birchwood High and went onto complete
A-Levels in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. He obtained straight A
grades in all of the subjects to go alongside an A grade in AS Level
Further Maths from his first year. At the end of his stay he opted
to move onto The University of Durham. |

Thomas came to Priestley from Sir Thomas Boteler High and went onto
to complete A-Levels in Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths and Physics.
He landed straight A grades in all four before accepting a place
at Cambridge University to study Natural Sciences. |

Victoria came to Priestley from Penketh High and studied a BTEC
National Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science alongside an A-Level
in Geography. She went onto obtain a triple distinction and an A
grade before opting to enrol on a Sport and Exercise Science Degree
at Birmingham University. Victoria also took part in the overseas
study trip to the Club La Santa resort. |

Former Great Sankey pupil, Graeme was a key part of College life
through his role as Vice President on the Student Council. He studied
four A-Levels in Drama, English Language, Media and Sport, obtaining
two A grades and two B grades. He left for Winchester University
to study Film, Cinema Technology and Drama. |

Hope came to Priestley from Culcheth High and in her final year
completed A-Levels in Media, Law, English Literature and French,
obtaining 3 A grades and a B. During her time, Hope also completed
a period of work experience in Rouen, France and took part in extra
conversational French classes. She moved onto The University of
Manchester to study Law. |

Jennifer came to Priestley from Cardinal Newman and completed the
BTEC National Diploma in Art and Design alongside an A-Level in
Textiles. She went onto obtain a triple distinction in her BTEC
and an A grade in her A-Level. During her stay she also took part
in the College’s Fashion Show and completed the Life Drawing
enrichment. |

A former pupil of Woolston High, Josh went onto complete A-Levels
in Chemistry, Maths and Physics, obtaining two A grades and a B
grade. During his stay he also studied Critical Thinking, the Aviation
enrichment programme and took part in the Engineering Education
Scheme. He left Priestley to study a degree in Aeronautical Engineering
at Liverpool University. |

Kirrun came to Priestley from Bridgewater High and was a keen member
of the College community, representing the Student Council. In her
final year she completed A-Levels in French, Biology, Maths and
Chemistry and obtained three A grades and one B. Kirrun also completed
the Sign Language enrichment and went onto study Medicine at Liverpool
University. |

Alex came to Priestley from Culcheth High and in his final year
studied A-levels in Chemistry, Physics, Maths and Further Maths,
landing straight A grades in all of them. Alex also studied an AS
in Electronics in his first year, also graded A and took part in
the Computer Club enrichment. He left Priestley to study an Engineering
degree at Cambridge University. |

Rebecca Bailey
A former pupil of Birchwood High, Becci landed three A grade A-Levels
at Priestley in Politics, Sociology and Law. She also obtained
an A grade As Level in World Development and played a key part
in College life via her role with the Student Council. Upon departing
Priestley, Becci was soon back on campus having accepted a job
offer to work at the College as a Student Mentor.

Adam came to Priestley from Birchwood High and in his final year
went onto to land four straight A grades in Business, Sport &
PE, Accounts and Maths. His interest in sport also saw him work
in the community as a karate instructor. He subsequently went onto
study a BA Honours Degree in Accounts Management and Information
Systems at the University of Manchester.

Melanie came to Priestley from Great Sankey High and completed the
BTEC National Diploma in Public Services. She subsequently landed
a triple distinction such was her level of success in the subject.
Elsewhere Melanie also notched a B grade Geography A-Level and a
B grade As Level in World Development. She departed for Edge Hill
University and a course in Human Geography.

Michael came to Priestley from St Gregory’s High School and
in his second year of study obtained three A grades in English Literature,
Maths and Psychology and a B grade in Critical Thinking. He subsequently
departed to attend Cambridge University in order to read English
at Sidney-Sussex College.

Sian Edwards
Sian came to Priestley from Woolston High School and in total went
onto achieve four A grades. Three of these were at A-Level in the
shape of Psychology, Sociology and History, whilst her As Level
came in World Development. Sian has now departed for Lancaster University
and a degree in Psychology.

Graham came to Priestley from Great Sankey High and went onto land
a remarkable four A grades at A-level in subjects Maths, Further
Maths, Computing and Physics. He has now departed for Cambridge
University to read Computer Science.

Peter came to Priestley from Birchwood High and went onto obtain
3 A grade A Levels in Politics, Economics and English Literature
as well as a B grade in As Maths. During his time he was also successful
in a national poetry competition that saw his work published. Following
the end of his stay he departed for the Royal Holloway, University
of London to study History and International Relations.

A former pupil of Birchwood High, Jessica studied a mixed range
of subjects during her stay at Priestley which culminated in her
leaving with three As Levels and three A Levels. She obtained straight
A grades in her final year in Chemistry, Biology and History and
3 B grades in her first year in Maths, Psychology and Critical Thinking.
Jessica subsequently opted to take a year out working at her former
high school before embarking on a degree in Zoology.

Former Birchwood High student Chris was a leading light at College
via his role as Student President of the College Council. In his
final year of study he was able to land four straight A grades
in Drama and Theatre Studies, Law, Chemistry and English Language.
He subsequently left to tackle a course in Law at Nottingham University.

Michael came to Priestley from Woolston High School and in his
final year went onto obtain four A-Levels. Three of these were
A grades in Maths, Further Maths and Physics. He also landed a
grade B in Computing and pursued his interest in engineering to
degree level at the University of Sheffield.

Rebecca came to Priestley from Sir Thomas Boteler High and in her
final year landed A grade A-Levels in Politics, History and Maths.
During her time at College she was an integral part of the Student
Council via her position as Vice President and also visited the
United States as part of an aspiring young leaders programme. Becci
has now departed to tackle a History course at the Royal Holloway,
University of London.

Physics. He also studied Sport and PE in his first year. He subsequently
departed for a degree course at Leeds University to study Automotive

Lorna came to Priestley from Great Sankey High School. In her
first year she was able to obtain two B grades at AS Level in
Textiles and Media and in her second year completed her BTEC Art
course in which she obtained a triple distinction. She subsequently
accepted a place at the London College of Fashion.

in modern foreign languages. She subsequently landed three A grades

As Spanish. At the end of her stay at Priestley she opted to study

the completion of her sixth form studies returned to Priestley in

A former pupil of Bridgewater High, Sehreen excelled whilst at Priestley,
so much so that in her first year of study, she was able to obtain
an A grade in A-Level Maths. Into her second year she managed to
land three further A grades in English Literature, French and Law
and a B in Politics alongside her role with the College Council.
She departed for Manchester University to read Law.

Sara came to Priestley from Bridgewater High and in her final year
of study went onto land an impressive four straight A grades at
A level. Those subjects included Psychology, Biology, Maths and
English Language. Sara opted to pursue Psychology yet further when
she departed for York University to study the subject at degree
level.

Meg came to Priestley from Birchwood High School and in her second
year landed four straight A grade A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry,
Maths and Geology. Her success in Geology was particularly remarkable
as she was the best UK Candidate for the subject, whilst in Biology
she was one of the top five. Meg subsequently accepted a place at
Cambridge University to study Natural Sciences.

year at College landed three A grades at A-Level in Law, Politics
and Media. He also obtained a B grade As Level in Critical Thinking
and during his time was awarded the top performer title in the Mock
Trial Competition at Warrington Magistrates Court. He has since
departed for a degree course at Leeds University.

Language, History and General Studies. She subsequently managed
to land four straight A grades and accepted a place at Manchester
University to study International Management. |

former pupil of Birchwood Community High School, Naomi studied the
Early Years Diploma and was able to land a triple distinction. Naomi
also played a leading role in the Runo School appeal and visited
Kenya with the College in 2007. Following her departure she opted
to defer a place at York University to take up a job at Warrington
Disability Partnership. Naomi was recently "highly commended"
at the Learning and Skills Council's North West Learner Awards. |

former pupil of Birchwood Community High School, Danny landed four
A grades in Maths, Physics, Art and Geology. During his stay he
led the voice of the students as the President of the College Council
and he was able to fulfil his dreams by accepting an offer at Cambridge
University to study Architecture. Further good news followed for
Danny when he was judged to be the top performing student nationally
for Fine Art. |

Amanda
arrived at Priestley from St Gregory's High School and took advantage
of the ability to study both vocational and a-level courses in one
package. In her Performing Arts, Musical Theatre qualification,
Amanda landed a double distinction and also obtained an A grade
in A-Level Drama and a B grade in A-Level English. Amanda was a
regular leading light in a string of College productions and left
for the prestigious Arden School.

came to Priestley from Culcheth High School and went onto land three
A grades in Maths, Further Maths and Physics. During his stay Martin
also played an integral part on the College council and was also
involved in the Engineering Education Scheme. Following his departure
he headed for Nottingham University to study Electrical and Electronic
Engineering with Maths. |

Vice
President of the College Council, Katie arrived at Priestley from
Birchwood Community High School with an impressive 10 A* grades
at GCSE level. She continued to excel academically landing 4 A grade
A-Levels in Maths, Further Maths, Law and Chemistry. Katie represented
the College at a number of functions and was one of two students
who travelled to London to pick up Priestley's Beacon Award. Katie
departed for Manchester University to study Maths and was recently
awarded the prize for academic excellence at the Learning and Skills
Council's North West Learner Awards.

came to Priestley College from Great Sankey High School and concentrated
her studies around the BTEC National Diploma in Art. She subsequently
was able to land a triple distinction award. Kayleigh was also one
of a number of students who were involved in an urban renewal project
in Liverpool which led to the College being nominated for a Beacon
award. At the end of her studies she opted to stay on at College
for a further year to tackle the Art Foundation programme. |

Enrichment Programme and left to take up a place at Manchester University. |

went onto study English Literature at York University. During her

whilst also obtaining an A grade at AS Level Textiles. Her achievement
in Art was something special with Annice one of the top five national
candidates. The result enabled her to accept an offer from Central
St Martins in London where she completed an Art Foundation Diploma.
Having gained a great deal of experience working in the industry,
she then moved to Glasgow University to study a degree in Textile
Design, where she is currently in her first year of four. Her
long term goal is to run her own business. |

was a leading character at Priestley College. After studying hard
he landed three A grades at A Level in Maths, Further Maths and
Physics. He was also able to obtain a B grade in AS Level Critical
Thinking and will be fondly remembered on campus for his role as
Student President. Sam is planning to study Maths at Durham University
at the end of his current gap year.

after arriving at Priestley College from Birchwood High School.
She was subsequently able to obtain 3 A grades in A-Level History,
Art and English Literature and an A grade AS level in Archaeology.
Her high level of achievement allowed Hannah to take up a place
at York University to study History.

stay he was involved in a string of College productions including
“Worse Things Happen at Sea”, “Midsummer Night’s

Oxygen dance group. |

two year stay at Priestley College was packed full of academic
achievement. His sensational A-Level results consisted of five
A grades in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Computing and Chemistry.
He was in the top five performing national students for Physics
and also landed a string of awards in the British Physics, Chemistry
& Informatics Olympiads.

of College Performing Arts productions.

Duke of Edinburgh Award and left to study Medicine at Liverpool

arrived at College from Cardinal Newman RC High and subsequently
went onto land three A-Level qualifications, which included two
A grades and one B. He left to study a degree at The University
of Manchester but was fondly remembered on campus as the voice of
the students due to his leadership of the Student Council in his
final year. Karl will make a return to Priestley in 2008 to take
up a job role with the College as a "Student Mentor". |

opted to tackle four A-Levels. After studying long and hard she
finished her Priestley life in the summer of 2005 with an amazing
4 A grades. During her time, Hannah also successfully completed
a Life Saving Award and opted to take a year out before applying
for Law courses at University. |

He then departed to continue his studies at Warwick. |

Biologist Emily arrived at College from Birchwood Community High
and tackled a programme of study centred around the Sciences.
At the end of her studies, Emily finished with four A grades at
A-Level and left to tackle a degree at The University of Hull.
During her time at Priestley, Emily also represented the College
in the British Biology Olympiad. |

of time in France on a work experience scheme working for a homeless

a career in Languages. |

former Sir Thomas Boteler student, Kevin excelled during his two
years at College. He tackled 4 A-levels in areas: Law, English

Matt
Devine, a former pupil at Newman High School made a very big impression
whilst at Priestley. Academically he studied 4 A-levels in German,
Chemistry, Biology and Maths and finished with two A grades and
two B grades. During his stay Matt was also the Student President. |

A
former Bridgewater High Pupil, Eddie excelled during his time
at Priestley. He tackled a difficult programme of study but finished
with 3 A grades at A-level and a further A grade in AS Level I.T.
Following his departure, he took up a place at Durham University. |

Faye
began at Priestley in 2001 following her GCSE’s at Birchwood High.
She tackled an interesting package of subjects, which included
English, Media, Art and Psychology. Following the end of her study
programme Faye finished with two A grades and two B grades, with
a further qualification in Advanced English. Faye then headed
for University in Leeds. |

A
former pupil of Sir Thomas Boteler High School, Terry became a
Science all-rounder, whilst at Priestley. He finished with a superb
4 A's from his 4 chosen subjects and also represented the College
in a range of Science related Olympiads. Following his departure
Terry went onto study at Manchester University. |

Emily
was a former pupil of Woolston High School and studied a number
of different subjects during her two year stay at Priestley, which
included Sociology, English Literature, Psychology, Media Studies
& Citizenship. Following her departure Emily accepted an offer
from the University of Manchester to study Philosophy & English. |

Eve
arrived at Priestley from Birchwood High School and tackled a complex
programme of four A-Levels. She subsequently excelled in all of
her subjects and landed a fine set of qualifications in 2003. Eve
then departed Priestley to study Law at the University of Warwick. |

Sarah Martin
Sarah
was a high flying student whilst at Priestley. During her stay the
former Birchwood High School pupil tackled English Literature, Maths,
Further Maths, Law, Citizenship and General Studies. Sarah was also
involved in the College's Engineering in Education scheme and opted
to study Maths at Oxford following her departure. |

Jade
tackled an AVCE Business programme whilst at Priestley. Having spent
a period of work experience at Warrington General, she left College
hoping to secure a full-time position at the Hospital and was awarded
the Business, Law & Tourism Award at Priestley’s 2003 Presentation
Evening. |

A
former pupil of Woolston High School Simon became the College's
Student President during his time at Priestley. The astute student
tackled four A-Level pathways in History, Geography, Maths and Chemistry
before then accepting a place at the University of York to study
History. |

Callery
Whilst
at Priestley Erica studied A-Levels in German, History, English
Literature and French and went onto land three A grades and one
B. Her A-level success allowed her to study a degree in German at
University College London which she graduated from in 2006 with
First Class Honours. |

Stanley
Claire
arrived at Priestley in 2000. During her time she studied A-Levels
in German, Chemistry, Maths and Biology and obtained three A grades
and one B. Following her success she then departed for The University
of Durham where she enjoyed yet more success having landed a First
Class Honours degree in Chemistry. In 2006 Claire opted to further
continue her studies to PhD level in Chemistry at Imperial College
in London. |
